This year is a big year for fan conventions in Scotland. There’s almost one convention every month, so you can pick from a wide selection of anime, gaming, film and TV, cosplay and comic book events.
The first convention of the year will be the South Lanarkshire Comic Con, taking place in Rutherglen in conjunction with South Lanarkshire Libraries.

Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War has been confirmed (Glasgow Live) to start filming key scenes in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands next month.

UK manga and gaming company, Tokyo Toys has opened a new store in Glasgow. So a couple of us from my college journalism class went along to see what the big deal was about.
The store held its grand opening on Saturday April 20 and saw more than 2000 anime and manga fans queue up on Union Street, Glasgow… It was a long queue.
